My Little Waiting Room: Drop-in Childcare at the Hospital: April 2009

We are thrilled to have received a $23,000 pledge from Bright Starts®, a registered brand of Kids II, Inc., a leading baby brand!

Bright Starts will also donate infant toys and gear to equip the first My Little Waiting Room site. PLUS, they are featuring Amy and our project in a national ad in the May and June issues of American Baby magazine and the June issue of Parents magazine. This is all a result of Amy’s family friend Jennifer Snyder nominating her to be one of eight “Pink Power Moms” in the nation last year.

Thank you American Express Members Project! Although we didn't make it into the top 5 to receive funding, we placed 13 out of nearly 1,200 projects nationwide. We were also partnered with the wonderful Starlight Children's Foundation. Further, we garnered more than 20,000 views on our project page from all over the country, secured nearly 2,000 votes in the semifinals and received the fourth highest amount of comments, showing how much people support the idea. We also landed more than 1,850 views of our video on You Tube and were mentioned on Good Morning America.
